Instructions to Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
- 1. Download the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) by searching on Google for "Java Download".
- 2. After downloading, locate where you saved the file and double click the exe file to start the installation. You will get a fresh "Java Setup - Welcome" window.
- 3. Click on the "Accept" button and you will be taken to the Java Setup Progress window.
- 4. In the end, click on Finish button. After completion of the process you will be taken to the Java Setup Complete window automatically.
- 5. Press F5 on your keyboard or click browser Refresh button.
- 6. You will get a small security screen where you need to tick "Always trust content from this publisher." and click on Run button.
Main steps for using Java Applet SFU for uploading files:
- 1. From the "Set Default File Naming Style" box, please select a suitable option as per your requirements.
- 2. From the applet left side, Click "Select Files & Folders" button.
- 3. From the selection window, select the folder(s) or file(s) you wish to upload.
- 4. Click "Upload" button.
- 5. Wait for the progress bar to show 100%.
- 6. You should get another message box indicating the success of your upload.
- 7. After each upload, go and observe the "Upload Confirmation List". The status column gives you important information regarding the upload status of each file, such as:
- a). Successfully Uploaded: File uploaded correctly, no further action required
- b). Not Successfully Uploaded: File NOT uploaded correctly. You need to upload it AGAIN.
- c). May be Duplicate Upload: Whenever the system detects a duplicate filename with the same size, then it alerts you saying that possibly a file has been uploaded twice.And it allows you to review and if convinced you could use the red X button to remove that file, and hence avoid sending the duplicate file for processing.
Traditional Method:
- 1. This method is recommended for uploading bigger in size and lesser number of files. Files bigger than 15mb should be uploaded using this method. There is almost no upper limit to the size of file which you can upload using this traditional file upload method. We have successfully test uploaded files as big as 700mb.
- 2. You are allowed a maximum of 10 files for a single upload.
- 3. To upload more files (which are smaller than 15mb each) you need to try Ajax or Java SFU method as described above.
To Upload File(s):
- 1. First select a Dictator and wait for a screen to open in the box below.
- 2. Then select a File Naming Style (explained above).
- 3. Click on the "Click here to browse and select a file to upload" link
- 4. Click on "Browse..." button and navigate to the folder from which you wish to upload file.
- 5. Select file and click on "open" button..
- 6. If you want to attach another file then click on the "Click here to browse and select another file to upload" link and repeat the same process again.
- 7. To remove any file click on the "Remove" link.
- 8. Once you have attached all your files, click "Upload" button to upload the file(s).
- 9. On completion, a "Successfully uploaded" message will be displayed.
- 10. To confirm the upload, you may use the "Upload Confirmation List".
